The exact determination of emissivity and the following determination of surface temperature of glossy materials can be carried out e. g. after applying a material with a known value of emissivity on the surface (e. g. self-adhesive foil or spray tint). The contribution deals with other possibility of determination of surface temperature and the influence of emissivity of glossy materials using a metal shield that reduces the negative influence of the reflected radiation during the termographical measurement.

Prague building regulations currently represent debated and controversial topic among both professionals and the public. This is a new concept of law to which they are greatly implemented basic knowledge of urban theory and practice. The article summarizes the basic principles of the new regulation in the field of territorial requirements.

The article gives some advice how to detect them in advance so that the buyer may be prevented from submitting time consuming, expensive and often ineffective claims in face of the previous owner.

After further analysis by a team of experts, it was determined that the windows do not have an airtight seal. Effect of radiation through the fillings of the panels and building structures has been evaluated on the basis of knowledge of the mean radiation temperature and operative temperature in the given indoor environment. Isotherms of mean radiation and operative temperatures for different cases of application of insulated glasses having different coefficients of thermal transfer have been presented.

New Civil Code enacts special type of solidary obligation to remedy the defects of building constructed under contract for works. All subcontractors (suppliers) of constructor, investor`s technical supervisors or construction project designer are solidary responsible together with the constructor in case the defect can be attributed to the performance they provided. However, these parties need not to be the parties to the contract for works itself (and usually are not) as their obligation arises by law.

The paper is focused on hygrothermal performance of light pipes used in Kaprálův mlýn center. It is present an analysis the condensation risk in roof dome of light pipe and on surface of double insulated glass in cool part of light pipe. Insulated glazing is integrated to thermal insulation block made of extruded polystyrol.

This paper deals with the time period of condensation on the inner surface during the day and the severity of this phenomenon. Condensation on the surface structure occurs when the surface is cooled to or below the dew point temperature, which is a function of temperature, relative humidity and atmospheric pressure.

Using the test and design standards helps to obtain a lot of information and experience in determining the thermal values of window, door structures, skylights and their components. We offer knowledge of laboratory practice.
